POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sr. IAS Retention & Engagement Consultant (R&E) works in partnership with the National Contact Center (NCC) and Individual Advisory Services (IAS) Teams. R&E receives clients via referrals from our NCC business partners as either warm transfer or overnight referrals.

R&E Consultant work with two distinct populations of clients:

  • Clients who intend to roll funds out of TIAA (rollover to another firm)

  • Clients that are interested in learning about Individual Advisory Services (IAS) comprehensive financial planning offer.

This role based out of our Denver, CO office.... at its core the Retention & Engagement role is about educating our clients. R&E Consultants work with clients that are considering rolling assets out of TIAA with the goal of educating them about the value of TIAA’s products and services. R&E also works with IAS eligible clients by preparing them to participate in TIAA’s financial planning process. R&E Consultants are responsible for uncovering planning needs and establishing an appropriate agenda for our clients’ first meeting with TIAA WMA. IAS Retention & Engagement Consultants must balance inbound and outbound calls and meet service level requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Receive inbound call transfers from NCC for clients that are at risk of leaving

  • Receive inbound call transfers from NCC for clients interested in learning more about TIAA advisory services (AIS, FCG, WMA).

  • Address client questions, educate on current plan benefits and advocate for TIAA’s Advice offerings

  • Thoroughly articulate the value of TIAA (products, services and advice)

  • Perform outreach calls to identified retention and engagement clients while adhering to stated service level agreements

  • Refer eligible clients to the most appropriate advisory solution based on client complexity and need for engagement, advice & retention

  • Communicate and educate internal business partners on process updates and cross training

  • Participation in proactive outreach campaigns and/or pilot programs as necessary

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Series 7 requiredor ability to obtain within 120 days(Licensed candidates strongly preferred)

  • State life insurance licensing capability in all 50 states., orobtain within 120 days

PreferredQualifications:

  • Passion foreducating clients and advocating for their best interest

  • Priorexperience in in financial services

  • Abilityto demonstrate competence in consultative sales process (CSP)

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Strong working knowledge of TIAA’s products, services andfinancial planning capabilities

  • Strong working understanding of TIAA’s competitors’ products andservices

  • Thorough detailed understanding of TIAA’s advisory solutions

  • Fluent in financial planning challenges and solutions

  • Understanding of retirement planning, 403B & 401k markets,macro-economics and investment products (qualified and non-qualified)

  • Understanding of Deferred and Immediate annuities
