TIAA Trust Account Review Analyst Sr in WASHINGTON, District Of Columbia

As a part of TIAA’s Financial Solutions business, TIAA Bank, a division of TIAA, FSB, provides full-service, nationwide banking and lending services to consumer, commercial and institutional clients through a variety of channels, including online, its Florida-based financial centers and at other business offices throughout the country.

Position Summary

The Senior Trust Account Review Analyst will serve as a key control function and will be responsible for executing all administrative account reviews for agency accounts held at TIAA Trust. * Per the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), all discretionary accounts must be reviewed initially within a reasonable amount of time after account opening and then periodically, thereafter.

The role will act as a “player/coach” both coordinating the Trust Account Review Analysts within the team that executes the agency administrative reviews, as well as performing their own reviews and other key lead tasks.

Essential Functions

•Assign reviews to the Trust Account Review Analysts.

•Additionally, will be expected to complete a high volume of account reviews with minimal to no errors.

•Establish weekly metrics to monitor completion for all reviews due each month.

•Monitor all outstanding exceptions from review questions that were not completed.

•Coach and guide analysts through initial training and ongoing support for both content and use of the related systems (SEI’s SWP Trust Accounting, Compliance Services (InvestEdge), Trident Record Management, and Universal Desktop).

•Work closely with the Business Supervision Controls (BSC) team to establish and/or adjust administrative review questions in Compliance Services (InvestEdge).

•Review questions periodically with Personal Trust and IMFS Directors. Understand any changes required from the business directly or indirectly from our second (Risk and Compliance) and third (Internal Audit) lines of defense.

•Approve submitted reviews. Look for ways to automate or simplify this process.

•Perform a quality check on a set percentage of Personal Trust and IMFS reviews that were submitted by the analysts with the goals of confirming the responses and providing any coaching for misidentified items.

•Look for ways to continuously improve the reviews presented to the analysts, including the ordering of the questions, consolidation of questions, and the management of risk.

•Confirm reports to the business, to committees, and to any auditors are accurate and complete.

•Investigate the use of artificial intelligence, robotics, and/or any other automated tools that might aid in the overall process.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

•Experience using Trust systems for administration, recordkeeping, and/or reviews

•Excellent written and oral communications.

•Ability to manage strong workloads and balance assignments

•Organizational and time management skills

•Ability to prioritize and respond to requests quickly and efficiently.

•Detail oriented and strong organizational skills

Qualifications

•3 years’ experience in the financial services industry in a support or operations role

•3 years’ experience as a Trust Assistant or Trust Administrator preferred

•Bachelor’s Degree preferred
