For more information about the firm please visit our website at Currently, Nuveen has an opportunity for an Institutional Client Marketing Assistant Vice President. This position will be a member of the Institutional Client Marketing team which works to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies supporting Nuveen’s US Institutional business. This team is the main interface to the Institutional Distribution teams, will have accountability for audience segmentation and strategic campaigns designed to acquire, develop, and retain clients.This role will lead the execution of marketing initiatives in partnership with marketing colleagues and Distribution aimed at acquiring, developing, and retaining clients utilizing traditional as well as segmentation, marketing automation, digital, event and social methods. This role will demonstrate an understanding of the institutional investor and sales process and investment products. This position reports directly to the Head of Institutional Client Marketing. This position is open to all locations.Responsibilities:
Lead the execution of marketing initiatives in partnership with marketing colleagues and Distribution aimed at acquiring, developing, and retaining clients utilizing traditional as well as segmentation, marketing automation, digital and social methods
Collaborate effectively with brand, design, content, events, product, and digital teams to execute and measure marketing initiatives and ensure proper alignment of resources
Manage multiple projects at once and deliver on-time and on- budget
Develop and maintain channel-specific content, including sales presentations, collateral, web content and field educational for Institutional distribution partners
Partner with marketing colleagues to lead and manage relevant sales support programs (i.e. conference, events, newsletters, etc.), owning events marketing as the primary team lead efficiently and effectively. This includes management of all event and marketing lead lists processing with salesforce teams.
Own the development and maintenance of document libraries, promotional pages, and marketing updates, including The Pulse Institutional Marketing Newsletter, Seismic, SharePoint site and Institutional website in alignment with broader Institutional Marketing Strategy, ensuring strategic prioritization in keeping with current campaigns and focus areas
Represent viewpoint of institutional investors in content generation process with marketing partners to be utilized for web, email, social, thought leadership, etc.
Represent marketing effectively in partnering with distribution teams and subject matter experts across investment and product teams. Effectively communicate and manage interactions while building marketing support, establishing strong partnerships, and positioning marketing as a critical partner
Minimum of 5 years related financial services marketing experience required. 7 years preferred.
Knowledge of the institutional investor audience and sales process
Experience working with sales and investment teams
Knowledge of investment productsPreferred:
Team player with strong collaboration skills
Experience utilizing marketing technology tools such as email automation systems, workflow tools, social content platforms, etc.
Alternative asset class knowledge a plus
Track record of executing marketing initiatives with measured results
Ability to build relationships and influence across a large matrixed organization.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, deadline driven environment.
