TIAA Sr. Manager, Business Manager in Virtual, New York

Business Management

The Business Management job is responsible for providing strategic support for the unit business area. While focusing on high level projects, this job executes strategic business management consulting to leaders by analyzing metrics and presentations to support business strategies, driving business management policies and routines, and being the central point of contact for leaders in the execution of business management tasks. This job is considered a subject matter expert in the Business Management area.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Reviews daily reports/analyses on institutional engagement that enable advisors to efficiently manage their business.

  • Develops relationships with potential clients/referrals that the company receives from outside clients in order to cultivate new business.

  • Implements process improvements with a focus on specific demographics and identifiers from the company’s databases.

  • Collaborates with senior level management to explain opportunity loss at certain institutions.

  • Influences the development of new strategic initiatives through tracking budgets and milestones.

Qualifications

  • 5 Years Required; 7 Years Preferred

  • University (Degree), Preferred

Required:

  • 5 years of experience in business Program/Project execution delivery.

  • 5 years of experience in Retirement industry

  • 5 years of experience in process reengineering.

  • 5 years of management experience.

Preferred:

  • 7 years of experience in business Program/Project execution delivery.

  • 7 years of experience in Retirement industry (strong preference if this includes a solid understanding of annuity, insurance and investment products).

  • 7 years of experience in process reengineering.

  • 7 years of direct employee management experience.

  • University Degree

Potential Salary: $119,500.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
