TIAA 2021 Nuveen Internship in Virtual, Illinois

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Position Summary:

The program offers a 10-week paid internship designed to challenge students interested in gaining hands-on experience in asset management. Primarily based out of Chicago, with some opportunities in New York, Los Angeles and Charlotte, our program seeks to immerse interns in a collaborative learning environment where they are equipped to make meaningful contributions to the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Job responsibilities and locations will vary based on placement in one of the following areas:

  • US Advisory Services

  • Marketing

  • Solutions

  • Business Strategy

  • Real Estate

  • NWQ Investment Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s business, finance, marketing or related areas and have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, work well in teams, committed to ongoing learning, display intellectual curiosity, and have the drive to obtain on the job expertise. They should have demonstrated interest within the investment management industry. They also must be able to adapt to change and a variety of ad hoc requests; as well as have the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver on objectives within a given timeframe.

Required Skills:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably majoring in business, finance, marketing or a related discipline (e.g. International Business, Real Estate)

  • Graduating between December 2021 and August 2023

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or better

Desired Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products

  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving/analytical skills

  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and deliver on commitments

  • Previous internship or work experience a plus

  • Demonstrated interest within the investment management industry is preferred

Potential Salary:

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
