KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Associate General Counsel
The Associate General Counsel job assists in protecting the organization's rights, obligations and privileges and its legal interests by providing legal advice and by ensuring the legal activities meet the current and future needs of the organization. This job provides legal advice/counsel in business-related areas of expertise (e.g., corporate law, real estate, tax, business litigation, transactions/anti-trust, compliance, intellectual property, employment/labor, corporate governance, ethics, etc.).
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Provides hands-on legal advice, guidance and counsel to management and supports the operations of legal department.
May support the protecting of the organization's rights in contract negotiations, settlements, and litigation.
Identifies, evaluates, and addresses issues of legal risk.
Researches, analyzes, and interprets proposed and existing laws, statutes, and regulations.
Advises management on recent changes in laws and regulations that affect the company.
May liaise with external legal counsel on legal issues related to protecting the company and gaining external advice on matters that may impact the company.
