POSITION SUMMARY:

TIAA has an opportunity for an experienced Sr. Consulting Network Engineer - ACI. This role will be a member of the Data Center & Core Network Architecture team supporting TIAAs expanding Global network. This role will design, deploy and support our Data Center Networks utilizing best practices and Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure and Nexus 9k platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, deploy and support Data Center Networks utilizing industrybest practices and Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure and Nexus 9kplatforms.

• Contribute to the development and performance of an automated migrationplan from Traditional Datacenter Network designs to Cisco ACI.

• Integrate services and appliances with Cisco ACI deployments toinclude Load Balancers, Firewalls and Application Deployment Orchestrationtools.

• Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans,and debug the hardest problems, live, on some of the largest and complexnetworks and systems in the world

• Collaboration with other technical teams to create automatedmigration solutions

• Collaboration with Application SMEs to approve ACI Contracts

• Collaboration with Business Information Security Officers (BISOs)on protocol risk

• Lead overall technical implementation for large and complex DataCenter engagements

• Deliver technical briefings, Architectural Design sessions andProofs-of-Concepts to all levels of stakeholders

• Identify the causes of networking problems, using diagnostictesting software and equipment

• Research and evaluate infrastructure strategies,hardware/software, security and networking products

• Advise management of options, risk vs. cost, benefits and otherimpacts of infrastructure solutions

• Set technical standards for network infrastructure, securitybaselines, policies and procedures

• Work with outsource vendor to drive sound architectures,engineering designs, and configuration templates

• Engage in complex production impacting technical issues and workto troubleshoot and restore service

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience:

• 7 years’experience of solid Cisco networking that is focused in Routing and Switching

• 2+ yearssupporting/troubleshooting Cisco ACI constructs, policy and contracts

• 2+ years ofPython programming experience, with emphasis on one or more of; InfrastructureAutomation & Scripting, API Scripting & Development, Data Analysis& Visualization, Version Control Software & Workflows

• Experiencewith Ansible

• Experiencewith migrations of critical network infrastructure

• Ability totranslate business requirements into creditable, high quality and resilientdesigns based upon the organization’s roadmaps and standards

• Abilityto share an on-call rotation with your Engineering Team and be anescalation contact for service incidents

Preferred:

• BS or MS inComputer Science or Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline orequivalent experience

• Certificationssuch as CCNP, CCIE R&S, CCIE Datacenter, CCDE, CISSP, GSEC, GIAC or AWSNetworking Specialist are desirable.

• Cisco partnerrelationship experience

• Abilityto communicate to all levels ofinternal & external stakeholders

• Ability tocollaborate with other team members

• Progressive designor deployment experience with any of the following:

• Cisco’s Tetration Analytics platform

• F5 Load Balancer and Web Application Firewall

• Security platforms such as Palo Altofirewalls, Blue Coat Proxys

• Linux/Unix or Microsoft Windows Server administrator

• Network Virtualization with VMWare

• Datacenter Storage platforms
