Nuveen Investments Sr. Client Service Associate in New York, New York

The Sr Client Service Associate I partners with associates in Distribution and Relationship Management to service Institutional and High Net Worth clients investing in the company's products. Under general supervision, the role frequently communicates with clients and focuses on onboarding new client accounts, delivering reports to clients, and working with business partners to service client needs throughout the client lifecycle. This role collaborates closely with teams across the enterprise to deliver an outstanding client experience.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manages inbound/outbound client communication (emails and phone calls) via the CRM system.

  • Works with internal business partners to gather and personalize documents for client onboarding.

  • Helps with the preparation of reports and other materials for client meetings and attend meetings as needed.

  • Generates a large volume of custom quarterly reports to clients, consultants and service providers.

  • Provides quality control for client reports and requests to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Completes due diligence and client questionnaires.

  • Provides database maintenance and compilation of business metrics.

  • Investigates and addresses client inquiries by evaluating client-specific circumstances and collaborating across departments to formulate response and communicate findings to the relationship manager.

  • Serves as point of escalation for complex issues involving client experience.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

  • 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred

FINRA Registrations

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Serve as client service SME during onboarding of new investors including interfacing with Legal, Advisory Sales and Relationship Management

  • Day-to-day team lead collaborating with accounting and third party fund administrators to assist with the execution of investor production activity, reporting obligations for 3rd party private funds while tracking until completion

  • Serve as key client service liaison between various external and internal stakeholders along with the Client Information Delivery Team to assist with the production and delivery of contractual and custom investor reporting

  • Managing client relationships in a high volume environment by responding to client queries and ad-hoc requests promptly while ensuring client expectations are met

  • Serve as day-to-day operational lead for other associates on the team focusing on resolution of complex problems and transactions, where experience is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes

  • Serves as a key member in team projects as needed while contributing to overall project objectives.

Required Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in the Asset Management Industry

  • 2 years of Client Service experience

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in the Asset Management Industry

  • 3+ years of Client Service experience

  • 3+ years direct experience in private equity or real estate

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Attention to Detail; Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

  • Excellent oral and written skills. Strong relationship management skills

  • Self-directed, self-starter, and motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Potential Salary: $98,300.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
