The Analyst position will assist the Retirement Solutions Product team in the development, maintenance and management of existing and new retirement investment products at Nuveen.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Contribute to the overall success of the RetirementSolutions Product team at Nuveen
Work closely with the product manager and seniorproduct manager who are managing the TIAA-CREF Lifecycle, TIAA-CREFLifecycle Index, TIAA-CREF Lifestyle and TIAA-CREF Managed AllocationFunds as well as developing new products for the retirement marketplace.
Provide data, analysis and commentary to the productmanagers and internal business partners to facilitate new product creationand maintenance of existing products
Work with the product managers in continuouslyproviding objective product and business line analysis, evaluatingexisting products for competitiveness, including:
Funds’ structural framework and policies
Fees and Expenses
Assets and flows
New Product Opportunities
P&L (revenue, expense and net margin)
Assist product managers in the design andimplementation of new product development and existing product changes
Contribute to reports and processes that allow foreffective management and reporting of the investment products includingthe creation of Fund Board memos and materials
Stay abreast of industry, competitive and regulatory changesthat could impact the business or particular products.
Support product managers as they evaluate, recommendand lead implementation of solutions to moderately complex product.
Assist product managers as they facilitate new salesopportunities, servicing of existing clients (competitive positioning,RFPs, product opportunity/fit assessment, etc) and product inquiries frominternal and external clients.
Assist in the development of marketing andcommunications content related to the product set.
- Bachelor’s Degree required
Preferably 1-2 years of financialservices experience/general understanding of investment concepts/products
Bachelor’s degree with quantitativeand/or business focus strong quant skills preferred
An interest in financialmarkets, economic trends and investment products (mutual funds –required, target date, target risk and collective investment trusts –preferred)
Proficient in Excel, Word,PowerPoint, and Industry-based data and analytical programs (MorningstarDirect, Lipper, FactSet, Strategic Insight, etc).
