As a Director for Nuveen’s Quantitative Strategies Fixed Income team you will have the opportunity towork closely with Portfolio Managers indesigningandexecutinginvestment strategiesthrough both primaryand secondary market trading.Your role will spanindex funds,exchangedtradedfunds (ETFs), active quant strategies, and related portfolios. Additionally your role will be engaged in model development and maintenance associated with quantitative strategies that span global public markets.
KEYRESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Developand maintain fixed income quantitative portfolio models
Recommendand execute fixed income trading targets according to investment plans
Participatein research and strategy development
Leadtrading oriented projects and tasks
Facilitatecommunications and streamline operations with peer desks and partners
Master’s degree required; Advanced degreein quantitative finance discipline preferred
Three or more years of fixed incomequantitative trading and/or research experience
Experience with Python, R, C++ or anotherprograming language, relational database experience such as SQL Server orOracle
Completed or active pursuit of the CFA preferred
A strong understanding ofthe end-to-end technology lifecycle, preferably with practical experiencein natural language processing, machine learning, big data and cloud relatedtechnologies in investment management
Excellent client relationshipmanagement, communication, networking and influencing skills
Self-motivated with strongproject management and analytical capabilities
