Support the Capital and Dividend Management team’s responsibilities related to
Statutory financial planning, stress testing projections, and analyses
Management of participant dividends: payment of deferred annuity interest and immediate annuity payments above minimum guaranteed levels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Serve a lead role in the TIAA financial planning and stress testing process, including transition of the baseline projection to the M-STAR platform, producing results that are reported to management and the Board and help drive the company’s strategic planning and dividend processes.
Support corporate projects related to enhancing the enterprise financial planning process and TIAA’s capital management (e.g. P&L modernization, Drive, Empire).
Support enhancements to TIAA’s fund account allocation, dividend setting, and capital management processes to align with industry best practices.
Ensure documentation, governance, controls, and SOPs align with company requirements and industry best practices.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with various other teams to ensure successful outcomes (CFP&A, BFO, GAO, Corporate Controllership, Tax, Risk Management, other areas within Actuarial Services, etc.).
BA or BS
3+ years of actuarial experience
FSA or near-FSA
3+ years financial projection or planning & analysis, stress testing, or capital management
familiarity with statutory accounting
Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong oral and written communication and problem-solving skills
