The research analyst is responsible for monitoring portfolio holdings in their assigned industry coverage. The analyst will recommend deletions to the portfolio as well as make new additions. During investment meetings the analyst will communicate their knowledge to help the team come to decisions on portfolio holdings. This person will also support the client service team with information that helps communicate our investment process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Make investment recommendation on portfolio holdings
Participate in investment team meetings
Convey industry knowledge at due diligence meetings
Construct financial models
Analyze company and industry trends
Conduct financial analysis
Prepare research reports and industry presentations
Attend industry investment conferences

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Economics from an accredited university
MBA and/or CFA a plus
5-7 years post-bachelor's experience in an analyst role at a money management firm
Excellent team player
Strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity
High degree of initiative
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational, analytical and financial skills
Strong attention to detail
Intermediate accounting and finance skills
Excellent computer skills with MS Office (advanced MS Excel experience)
