The Internal Advisor Consultant (IAC) proactively builds business partnerships with advisors in a defined geographic territory. The IAC will partner closely with the Advisor Consultant, together they’re responsible for maintaining current client assets, driving sales, cross selling advisors and converting prospects to clients. The Internal Advisor Consultant is responsible for meeting daily outbound call goals, email correspondences, and advisor follow ups. In this role, the IAC stays current with portfolio & industry developments and masters all Nuveen Investments’ product and service solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Partnerwith Advisor Consultant to develop consultative relationships with FinancialAdvisors, branch office managers and sales managers; and grow market share ofNuveen’s products with the assigned territory.
Partnerand coordinate with Advisor Consultant on business and territory managementplans.
Proactively make outbound calls,email and engage in web conferences with top clients and prospects to market,educate and promote the Nuveen suite of products.
Effectively profile advisors andhave a good understanding of the sales process
Work closely with ACs, DMs, DataAnalytics and Digital teams to drive sales
Maintain knowledge level of focus firmplatforms and product approvals.
Collaborate and share bestpractices across the internal team
Document all Advisor activity in CustomerManagement System [SalesPage], update SalesPage/ Outlook calendar
Support USAdvisory Services broader campaigns, initiatives and blitzes as needed onthe entire product suite including Managed Accounts, Mutual Funds, ClosedEnd Funds, Exchange Traded Funds, Alts., DCIO, etc.
Some travel in the territory forconsistent top performers or as deemed necessary for development by theInternal Sales and Service management team.
· At least 1 year of relevant experience.
· Series 7 required. Series 66 to be obtained within the first 3 months of joining
· Financial Services experience
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
· Planning, organization and time management skills; ability to analyze and prioritize large amounts of information.
· A strong combination of sales and analytical skills coupled with an energetic and engaging style.
· Knowledge of the financial markets, both equity and fixed income, and the ability to articulate investment discipline with an understanding of the process and specific portfolios.
