Bus Dev Analyst

The Business Development Analyst supports the sales distribution team as the day-to-day operational contact for Registered Investment Advisors, Family Offices and Bank Trust Departments. While working independently with limited supervision, this job provides reporting internally and externally as necessary, and acts as back-up for the RIA Advisor Consultants and Internal Advisor Consultants.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serves as main operational contact for Registered Investment Advisor firms and acts as liaison to Investment Operations team.

  • Maintains detailed records of Registered Investment Advisor dual contract paperwork (Services Agreements, Investment Advisory Agreements, fees etc.).

  • Collaborates with Legal, Compliance and Operations departments during Registered Investment Advisor onboarding process (customization of agreements, ADV issues etc.)

  • Investigates and resolves billing errors and recommends process improvements to avoid future errors.

  • Collaborates with National Accounts counterparts on Registered Investment Advisor requests for separate account platform additions.

  • Coordinates due diligence requests such as quarterly calls, RFIs/RFPs, on-site visits.

  • Analyzes relevant data including performing investment manager competitive analyses with written conclusions and recommendations to management.


  • 3 Years Required; 5 Years Preferred

  • University (Degree), Preferred

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a first-class client service

  • Respond to ad hoc requests on existing NAM municipal accounts

  • Maintain thorough understanding of third party reporting tools (custodian and TAMP portals, Access Data etc.) and be able to provide relevant information to RIA team and sales management

Required Experience

  • 3 years of Financial Services and/or Asset Management experience

  • Series 7 and 66 or Series 7 and a combination of 63 & 65 ( licenses can be obtained within the first 6 months)

Preferred Experience

  • 5+ years of Financial Services and/or Asset Management experience

  • Experience in client servicing activities

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce

  • Ability to quickly learn new software applications

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)


Minimum Pay: $61,200.00
