TIAA Senior Systems Engineer, Security Software Applications in Jacksonville, Florida

As a part of TIAA’s Financial Solutions business, TIAA Bank, a division of TIAA, FSB, provides full-service, nationwide banking and lending services to consumer, commercial and institutional clients through a variety of channels, including online, its Florida-based financial centers and at other business offices throughout the country.

Senior Systems Engineer, Security Software Applications

The Info Systems Engineer administer information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall administration of the organization's information systems architecture. Under limited supervision, this job is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Troubleshoots systemic issues, documenting issues and working to resolve problems.

  • Makes observations and recommendations to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards.

  • Administers applications and systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality.

  • Assists with assigned projects or research.

  • Participates in IT Security audits, assessments, risk analysis and reporting

  • Responds to requests for information on IT company policies, practices, guidelines, and standards.

  • Responsible for responding to system administration requests.

  • May provide system or security awareness related training


  • 3 Years Required; 5 Years Preferred

  • University (Degree), Preferred

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in a technical IT field.

  • Windows 2012 & 2016, Linux Ubuntu, and RHEL server operating systems in a VMWare virtual and physical operating environment

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities.

  • Ability to react quickly to a fast paced, rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to follow project plans as well as adapt to changing conditions.

  • Ability to work seamlessly within a team as well as manage individual tasks.

  • Cisco Ironport Web Security Appliance

  • Cisco Umbrella

  • Cofense E-Mail Phising tool

  • Crowdstrike Falcon host

  • CyberArk Password management system

  • Firemon firewall monitoring

  • Forcepoint e-mail data loss protection

  • Imperva Database Monitoring

  • Opentext Encase Examiner

  • Rapid 7 Nexpose Vulnerability

  • Observe IT

  • Symantec Enterprise Protection

  • Tripwire

  • Veracode

  • Z-Scaler Content filtering

Minimum Pay: $54,630.00
