TIAA Product Manager II, Banking in JACKSONVILLE, Florida

As a part of TIAA’s Financial Solutions business, TIAA Bank, a division of TIAA, FSB, provides full-service, nationwide banking and lending services to consumer, commercial and institutional clients through a variety of channels, including online, its Florida-based financial centers and at other business offices throughout the country.

Position Summary

The Banking Product Manager II is responsible for products and services related to the line of business supported, provide solutions that drive high-value, high-quality customer experience for treasury management services. This position will enact change by organizing strategic and tactical initiatives supported by internal and industry trends while collaborating with key partners to ensure organizational goals are met.

Essential Functions

•Assist in the overall planning process for new features and initiatives for designated products, solutions, and business lines

•Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the competitive environment related to business banking and treasury management services

•Act as an advisor to business banking and treasury management support teams

•Develop fact-based research documentation, business cases, use cases, or presentations as part of business growth, implementation, or management review processes

•Manage detailed business documentation, spec sheets, work-flows, training information, and product enhancement reviews

•Coordinate and ensure that product documentation to external clients is up to date and compatible with product delivery

•Collaborate in all phases of business banking and treasury management product development including research and planning, development, implementation and testing/evaluation

•Identify, compile, and understand research and analysis related to market trends, profitability, pricing, product positioning, and sales strategy

•Assist in developing strategies to sustain and grow the Bank’s competitive position

•Significant understanding of the legal, technical, operational, marketing, compliance, or other related requirements of products or services and ability to influence necessary outcomes across functional areas.

•Work with other business areas, such as change management, sales, web development, marketing, risk, legal, compliance, and operations to evaluate scope and implement initiatives

•Business-level technical understanding of bank product delivery systems or platforms OR Ability to get up to speed on new technologies, products and/or services in short order and to assess need for implementing at the Bank OR knowledge and understanding of the technologies and systems required to support business and treasury management products and services

•Strong written and oral communication skills

•Fast and adaptive learner

•Proven product development / project management skills

•Ability to quickly gather and assess relevant data and provide recommendations to team

•Expert knowledge of the Microsoft office software applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio etc.)

•Experience in manipulating data and creating reusable reports in Excel

•Experience with analytics

•Demonstrated ability to identify key trends and causal relationships between product performance and factors such as pricing, competitive position, marketing spend, etc


•Bachelor’s degree preferred: MBA preferred

•3 years of banking or financial services industry experience required

•2 years of product and/ or project management experience preferred

•Treasury services and related products management experience preferred
