TIAA Mortgage Loan Processing Manager in JACKSONVILLE, Florida

As a part of TIAA’s Financial Solutions business, TIAA Bank, a division of TIAA, FSB, provides full-service, nationwide banking and lending services to consumer, commercial and institutional clients through a variety of channels, including online, its Florida-based financial centers and at other business offices throughout the country.

Position Summary

Manage a team of loan processors who process home loan applications following submission to Operations by the loan officer. The Processing Manager's team is the primary point of contact for the client once the loan reaches the department and will collect and process documents. This position is responsible for ensuring the team adheres to company policies to close loans expeditiously and within high standards of quality.

There are two positions to hire with one to be located in Chesterfield, MO and one in Jacksonville, FL.

Essential Functions

•Monitor team pipelines for adherence to department procedures

•Conduct pipeline reviews with associates on a weekly basis

•Host daily huddles with the team to discuss any updates and plans for the day

•Coordinate with internal departments to move loans toward completion

•Keep Sales Managers apprised of loan progression and concerns with meeting closing dates on individual loan files

•Act as a point of escalation for clients as needed

•Interact successfully with processors who have varying degrees of experience

•Host monthly feedback sessions with each associate to provide performance updates

•Provide feedback to sales partners on application quality

•Recruit, manage, and retain quality processing personnel

•Provide timely evaluations of all associates and oversee their career development

•Communicate clearly and effectively with various levels of management

•Organizational, planning, and communication skills

•Excellent judgment and the ability to make independent decisions

•Analytical/sound decision making ability

•Advanced written and verbal communication skills

•Excellent collaborative skills

•Attentive to detail and quality standards

•Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office suite

Required Qualifications

•Completion of a high school education

•7 years of mortgage processing or underwriting experience

•Management experience or completion of management training

Preferred Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree
