POSITION SUMMARY:

The Instructional Designer is responsible for building and maintaining effective partnerships with the project lead and/or Learning Consultant to determine and deliver effective learning solutions that address knowledge and/or performance gaps. In doing so, the Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, evaluating, and maintaining learning solutions that accelerate change and drive improved business performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Work with learning team peers and business SMEs to:

  • Review initial performance and needs analysis

  • Partner to define scope of proposed learning solution

  • Document high-level solution design and storyboards (ILT, VILT, web-based or blended training)

  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning solution final products

  • Maintains strong relationships across the learning function and with key business partners

  • Operates with minimal oversight to keep learning projects on time

  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Experiencing applying the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation) instructional design process, learning evaluation methodology, and adult learning theory.

  • 2 years experience in acorporate training environment

  • Experience with media editing software

Desired:

The successful candidate will have proven storyboarding, learning solution, and/or user-experience (UX) development skills. Preference will be given to candidates familiar with learning design/development software, including but not limited to:

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Articulate Storyline

  • Appitierre Evolve

  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, etc.)

  • Adobe Captivate

  • TechSmith Snagit
