TIAA Java Tech Lead in ISELIN, New Jersey

The resource will provide technical leadership in the end to end design, development and delivery of technology-enabled applications, products and services. Responsible for meeting development schedules and delivering high quality solutions that meet technical specifications and design requirements. Lead the specification and software design phases of the software development life cycle. May manage the design and implementation of new software development and enhancement efforts and software testing with other technologists.


  • Design and develop technical solutions inweb &mobile for contact center and back office needs

  • Responsible for Roadmap, Strategy and Architecture

  • Responsible for design of Integration framework forreal-time/batch integration with internal systems and external cloud apps

  • Customization of features to meet business requirements

  • Responsible for defining patterns and standards and ensuring thatquality and standards are properly followed

  • Manage day to day technical challenges and communicate to projectmanager any risks or issues associated with the development activities

  • Assist Program/Project manager with the estimation of technicaltimelines and allocation of the technical resources to specific task

  • Coordinate coding and unit testing phases of system developmentand facilitate Code Reviews

  • Identify opportunities for system reuse and system simplification

  • Communicate Expectations, Roles and Responsibilities to teammembers and hold them accountable to meet the expectations

  • Collaborate with IT partners to devise capacity plan and ensureappropriate infrastructure for the end to end system delivery



  • 7+ years of software development and design experience with JAVAand other web application development technologies.

  • Experience in AWS or Azure, Docker Open shiftContainers

  • Financial Services industry experience

  • Bachelor’s degree


  • Very strongWeb, Mobile and Integration background

  • Excellent knowledge of integration patternsfor onlineapps

  • Strong background of multiple successful implementations

  • Strong practical deployment knowledge ofJAVA appswith mulesoft,AWS, Docker, MLPasa plus

  • Retirement industry experience
