TIAA INTERNSHIP: Client Services Intern in DALLAS, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY:

TIAA's 2020 Summer Internship Program is an enriching opportunity for college students who want to supplement their academic preparation with a challenging work experience as they launch their professional careers. Successful completion of the internship can lead to a full time career opportunity at TIAA, upon graduation.

The Client Services department is a diverse area within TIAA. Interns will have an opportunity to join teams that provide the following support to our external individual and institutional clients:

  • Business Management – provide strategicplanning, capacity modeling, business analytics, business enablement andproject leadership

  • Continuous Improvement – provide six sigma wastereduction strategies, and technology enablement (robotics/technologyimprovements)

  • Institutional Plan Support – provide non-registeredsupport to institutional plans to expedite onboarding of new clients

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Summer Interns will work on an exciting mix of strategically-aligned challenging assignments and projects that help drive the achievement of the organization's strategy and mission. Managers and colleagues will work side by side with summer interns to ensure development and learning. Candidates can expect to gain an understanding of TIAA and the Financial Services industry and will be involved in creating resolutions for complex problems and/or transactions where business expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes.

Required Skills:

  • Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree

  • Graduating between December 2020 and August 2022

  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 or better

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous internship experience

  • Preferred majors include: Finance, Business Management, Accounting, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Communications

  • Strong organizational skillsand ability to prioritize tasks

  • Ability to manage data andanalyze trends

  • Skills in crafting concise,consistent and quality business communications

  • Ability to plan and execute oninternal projects

  • Proficient in process mapping, excelspreadsheet, VISIO and PowerPoint creation & presentations
