TIAA Senior Client Reporting Analyst in CHICAGO, Illinois

The Client Reporting Analyst will assume a hands-on role in producing client reports. Candidate will be responsible for collecting and documenting client report requirements from various internal departments. The Senior Analyst will work closely with Client Services, Operations and IT departments across the firm in the creation and management of new report templates and dashboards. This role will troubleshoot general system issues and answer data questions pertaining to client reporting. The Analyst must have the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner and work independently with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
Produce monthly and quarterly workflows for client reports
Gather report requirements from internal departments
Assist in designing, creating, and maintaining new report templates and dashboards
Run ad-hoc report requests from various internal departments
Review and resolve system and workflow errors
Assist in performing data validations and resolve data discrepancies to ensure accuracy of client reports and other reports
Understand enterprise level data flows across all firm-wide systems
Provide assistance with monitoring the timeliness of file feeds to databases that support client reporting
Work closely with IT, Operations and Client Service departments at an enterprise level and general troubleshooting issues within Coric
Collaborate with IT to implement new system functionality and system enhancements
Assist with the development and testing of system upgrades
Identify and assist in the implementation of business process improvements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the financial services industry with a minimum of 1 year in client reporting
Excellent business and technical background in portfolio accounting, securities data, pricing and corporate actions across all asset classes, including global equities, fixed income and derivative
Previous experience with investment systems such as Coric, Vermillion, Portia, and/or Eagle preferred
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to provide attentive customer service
Ability to work in a team or independently
Ability to meet both daily and periodic deadlines
Flexibility in adapting to scheduling and work flow changes
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) skills
Knowledge of database structure and maintenance
Languages: SQL preferred
Excellent problem recognition and resolution skills
Strong analytical skills
