POSITION SUMMARY:

TIAA is seeking a Lead Windows Systems Engineer for their enterprise. This position will be located in our Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, Broomfield, CO or Iselin, NJ office. This position will support IT infrastructure services for all hosted windows operating systems such as Windows 2003 to Windows 2016.

This role will provide lead level solution architecture, engineering design, implementation and technical third-level support services for the Windows Server platform and Microsoft Active Directory across our enterprise. This includes SCCM and other Windows Server management solutions. The core infrastructure technology tasking includes enterprise Windows Server platform standards including: server provisioning and deployment, global system security standards and top-level support for enterprise-wide infrastructure applications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Provide lead level technical support,implementation, and design services for the Windows Server platform across theenterprise, including cloud deployments in Amazon (AWS) and Microsoft Azure

  • Develop and enhance Microsoft Windows Serverand Active Directory engineering standards for a multi-site organization,including the core operating system and authentication services

  • Develop technical partnerships with keyarchitecture, project, operations, and support teams

  • Automating Windows Server provisioning in a multi-forestand multi-domain environment and configuration for the SCCM infrastructure;configuring deployments in a multi-tiered DMZ network topology, while consideringIaaS Cloud solutions such as AWS and Azure

  • Provide 3 rd level support for anenterprise-wide, distributed Microsoft Windows Server platform, includingrelated technologies such as Certificate Services, IIS, Clustering, etc.

Required:

  • 7 years of relevant IT experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a high-techcustomer-facing role (i.e. Professional Services, Solution Architecture,Systems Administrator, Engineering or Consulting)

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft WindowsServer and related technologies; experience providing senior level operationalsupport and implementation of large-scale, enterprise level solutions

  • Previous experience with the design ofinfrastructure and integration into new and existing Windows Server systems

  • Three (3) years of demonstrated experience supportingSCCM in a 2012 or newer environment

  • In-depth and thorough understanding ofmonitoring best practices preferably with Microsoft System Center OperationManager (SCOM)

  • Experience with infrastructure and servertheories, principles and concepts, application infrastructure and standards,networking fundamentals, physical server architecture, and virtualizationtechnologies (i.e. VMware, Hyper-V and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN networks

  • Understand WAN/LAN concepts and the TCP/IPprotocol stack

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology;Computer Science or related technical field

  • Four (4) years of demonstrated experiencesupporting SCCM in a 2012 or newer environment

  • Microsoft Windows Server certifications; MCSEor Azure Certifications

  • Working knowledge of ticketing systems;creating, updating and closing tickets

  • Strong customer service customer service skills(both written and verbal)

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability tolisten and understand what is being described

  • Experience with one or more cloud providerssuch as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform

  • Ability to effectively deliver and executetechnical projects across multiple engagements in a customer-facing-capacity
