The DMAC manager is responsible for ensuring the Data Management department's objectives are met through active staff management and project. The DMAC manager develops, coordinates and enforces data management policies, procedures and productivity standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Oversee the management of other Data Management employees; Activities encompass day to day employee management, talent management and ensuring the manager’s respective team is meeting prescribed Service Level Agreements
Actively partake in new Data Management ventures; ex. data model enhancements, upgrades or expansions; Activities could encompass project management assistance, data model development or data model implementation design and execution
Assist in onboarding new Data Management employees and ensuring the Data Management training program is executed upon
Remain in good standing as an expert in the Data Management arena; Maintain exposure through engagement with Data Management’s many business partners including Investment Teams, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Product or Client Services.
Analyze error logs generated from Nuveen systems, identify trends and propose enhancements to existing data models; limited engagement at this stage
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
4 or more years of Asset Management industry experience
4 or more years of experience working with security data across at least one of the following asset classes; equities, fixed income and derivatives
4 or more years of experience working with entity data across at least one of the following investment vehicles; pooled products, institutional separately managed accounts or retail separately managed accounts
4 or more years of experience with at least one of the following products or tools; Bloomberg, ICE, FactSet, Portia, Eagle, or Charles River
