Nuveen Investments VP, Business Management - Program Management Expert in Charlotte, North Carolina

Lead program management for large-scale initiatives, working alongside executive sponsors and functional experts; create execution roadmaps and work with cross-functional work stream teams to deliver results. Facilitate problem solving and own reporting and executive communication on progress

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • • Partner with executive sponsors to own large scale initiatives from inception to delivery• Collaborate with Strategic Initiatives and Business Management colleagues in the design and early implementation phases and fully own program management through execution • Work closely with leaders across functions – such as Sales, Marketing, Investments, and Shared Services – to define and execute strategic initiatives• Partner with executive sponsor of programs to manage day-to-day operations, from defining goals and governance to creating timelines and solving roadblocks for work stream leads• Facilitate daily stand ups, working sessions, weekly report outs, and regular executive meetings; work with stakeholders across multiple functions, roles, and levels• Track deliverables and progress using various project management tools• Collaborate with experts to translate technical information and on-the-ground progress into executive-level updates and steering committee reports

Educational Requirements

Required Qualifications

5 years of experience in program/project management of complex and cross functional initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in program/project management of complex and cross functional initiatives

  • Prior experience in business agile methodology

  • Prior experience with financial services industry

  • Strategic thinking and problem solving skills; requires facilitating discussions to remove roadblocks and solve challenges

  • Ability to contribute independently with minimal direct oversight

  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams through influence and partner closely with senior leaders

  • Quick learner and willingness to develop technical understanding to engage with experts in various functions (e.g., analytics, data, technology, etc.)

  • Excellent skills in synthesizing data and presenting to broad audience

  • Strong interpersonal skills and executive communication

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Potential Salary: $119,500.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
