POSITION SUMMARY:

TIAA has an opportunity for a Director, Global Network Services whowill own the design, engineering and day-to-day operations for network services including the global Wide Area Network, Data Center and Local Area Networks, including Wi-Fi, telecom circuits, network security devices and remote access technologies in support of our global workforce. This highly visible senior leadership role will be responsible for strategy, roadmap creation/execution, and technical implementation and support data network services. Cyber security, voice and video are managed by other organizations, but an understanding of the technical complexities of integration and support, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment, is necessary. This position will be located in our Charlotte, NC office.

A critical aspect of the role is to plan and execute the network aspects of IT Transformation programs for Multi-Cloud connectivity and for Nuveen Global expansion. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Network globaltechnology roadmap, design, and implementation with key focus on redundancy,flexibility and stability to deliver services with minimal downtime, globally

  • Responsible for full networkplatforms product life cycle and related budget planning

  • Build a high performingteam of network leads while mentoring on best practices, technology, andadoption

  • Define and execute aglobal workforce support strategy that enables our people to be productive 7x24regardless of geography

  • Develop operational metrics,participate in service reviews, continually improving your service

ROLE SPECIFICATION: Director, Global Network Services

  • Research new networktechnologies and prototype solutions that can be leveraged to decrease costsand increase performance

  • Develop and maintain networkstandards

  • Execute POCs andfeasibility studies to validate next-gen product concepts and technologiesleveraging results to guide business and technology decisions

  • Drive a servicemanagement discipline that is focused on increased automation and optimizedservice delivery

  • Execute servicedelivery aspects including patching, upgrades, and work methods that that help tosustain and optimize the environment to ensure that it is designed, protectedand managed effectively

  • Define and deliverselection of appropriate tools and direct implementation of target state connectivitysolutions, service management, and service catalog integration

  • Partner withApplication Development, End User Computing and Cyber security to architect,design and implement solutions that specify and solutions and best practices

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree inComputer Sciences, Engineering or related field

  • Minimum 15 years ofexperience and subject matter expertise in Network technologies

  • Minimum of eight yearsleadership experience

  • Experience in leadinglarge, geographically dispersed teams in a large enterprise

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :

  • Master'sdegree

  • Aproven track record of technical experience with network technologies, toolsand platforms

  • Deepunderstanding of the design, operationand regulatory aspects of global networks

  • Solidunderstanding of software defined networking and software defined wide areanetworking

  • Relevantindustry certifications (e.g. Cisco, etc.)

  • Executivepresence with very strong leadership attributes, business acumen, analytical,problem solving and verbal and written communication skills with willingness totravel

  • Passionfor leading change and ability to bring others along
