The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to mature our Splunk Data Analytics, health monitoring and Ingestion process and procedures as well as building Splunk dashboards to meet business requirements. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate clearly with team members of various technical abilities. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the success of building out this new program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Primary responsibilities will include but not limited to:
·Workingcollaboratively with business and technology partners to develop and deliver astreamlined log ingestion process ·In-depth knowledge ofSplunk ingestion patterns·Familiarity with variouslog formats and SPLUNK Common Information Models·Ability to query Splunkin an effort to verify log being sent and received
Lead requirements gatheringmeetings and design reviews with Technology and Business partners.
Building relationships acrossdifferent disciplines and management levels
Educating management and peersabout Splunk Data Analytic related issues·Ability to deliver strongpresentations, communicate effectively and influence across the organization·Ability to coordinatecompletion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames·Ability to workeffectively, as well as independently, in a team environment·Ability to takeinitiative to identify and resolve issues
Required Skills :
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience working with Splunk/Splunk ES
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Windows, Linux OS and Log file formats
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with logging of various nodes (Routers/Switches/Server/etc)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with of Reg-Ex
Preferred Skills (A plus but not required):
• Knowledge of Data Quality and Stewardship concepts
• Knowledge of Service Now/CMDB
• Experience with Excel
• Knowledge of Archer
• Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
• Proficiency with Hadoop and Relational Databases
• Security or PMP certifications will be a plus
