This role has primary accountability for all aspects of Learning & Development for one or more major, complex business units. This senior leadership role in the Talent Management Center of Excellence reports to the Chief Learning Officer and works with senior business leaders, Talent Management Business Partners (TMBP), Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP), and peer leaders to create and execute learning strategies that enable their business unit(s) and TIAA to achieve business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Collaborating with HR partners and key business stakeholders, lead the research and analysis needed to build an end to end strategic learning plan for your business are
Leverage a business acumen orientation and expert consulting skills to translate business goals into development programs and solutions that evolve with the business.
Apply a strategic mindset to develop, maintain and communicate the strategic learning vision for your business area.
Work directly with senior business leaders and HRLT to guide and influence significant LOB investment in L&D solutions
Drive or contribute to innovation and continuous improvements in key processes, products, relationships and solutions
Grow and develop a committed and high-performing team through leading inclusively, strong coaching and support, and providing impactful career coaching
8+ years leading a Learning & Development function
5+ years’ experience leading the creation and execution of end-to-end strategic learning plans
HR experience with TIAA, Nuveen or TIAA Bank
History of success in managing client and stakeholder relationships, consulting and influencing, contracting and negotiating
Experience supporting a Technology and/or Operations unit
Demonstrated knowledge and application of a broad range of learning approaches and solutions, both technical and non-technical
Proven project and portfolio management expertise.
Ability to create and manage detailed project plans and overall learning portfolio, meet milestones, and clearly communicate progress
