TIAA Sr. Director Compliance Analytics Leader in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

The Enterprise Compliance Strategy and Solutions (“ECSS”) team is seeking a Compliance Analytics Leader to build and manage an analytics center of excellence for the Compliance and Ethics program. The Compliance Analytics Leader will collaborate with team members at all levels to design and execute a strategy that leverages data-driven metrics to deliver actionable insights that enhance the efficiency and efficacy of the Compliance and Ethics program. The Compliance Analytics Leader will partner with Technology and other stakeholders across TIAA to lead digital transformation efforts and inspire adoption of a data and technology-driven culture.

The ideal candidate has a strong ability to analyze business objectives and support the delivery of strategic and effective solutions.

KeyResponsibilities and Duties:

  • Work withsenior stakeholders in TIAA Compliance and key business partners to design andimplement data and technology-driven strategies

  • Providestrategic direction, leadership and management within the Compliance and Ethicsprogram

  • Generateinsights and recommendations

  • Strong desireand ability to develop creative and breakthrough solutions

  • Effective communicationof abstract and complex ideas and concepts

  • Implement andsustain an analytics framework that identifies and monitors key risks withinthe program

  • Scope andexecute complex business intelligence, automation, and analytics projects

  • Utilize bigdata architecture, ETL platforms and advanced analytical tools such as SQL,Teradata, Hadoop, SAS, R, Python to manage the development, implementation, maintenance,and enhancement of analytics solutions

  • Advancedmodeling experience to oversee the automation of manual processes (e.g.,Compliance Testing, AML Tuning)



  • BachelorDegree

  • 10+ years ofexperience with analytics

  • 5+ years drivingdata / analytics initiatives

Preferred :

  • BachelorDegree in information technology or quantitative field, such as statistics,econometrics, mathematics, or operations research

  • Familiaritywith modern data and decision science techniques

  • Comfort withthe latest analytics and automation (e.g. RPA) technology tools and techniques

  • Experienceleading global teams

  • Ability tomanage multiple large scale initiatives simultaneously

  • Experiencedeveloping analytics to support compliance, audit, or risk teams

  • Experiencemanaging a data environment to support an analytics program

  • Risk or RegulatoryCompliance experience within the Banking / Financial Services / Capital Marketsand/or Insurance industries (e.g., Basel Accord, Dodd Frank, FBO, FINRA, SEC,CCAR, etc.)

  • Managementconsulting experience

  • Strongproblem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise maturejudgment and structured decision-making

  • Excellentcommunication (verbal and written), facilitation and interpersonal skills,including the ability to clearly communicate complex problems and solutions ina simple, logical and impactful manner, both internally and externally
