The Strategic Planning and Governance Director defines and facilitates the process that allows for the identification and approval of initiatives that will deliver strategic value to the company. This role will work with the business and IT executives to cascade and align objectives, identifies gaps and defines initiatives to close the gaps, and ensures they are prioritized. This role will review business cases, ROI and ensure both business and IT are prepared to support the solution, along with both financial and non-financial benefits. Additionally they will have accountability for developing and maintaining key controls related to governance, execution management, investment management and business/value validation over enterprise and TFS strategic initiatives. This position is responsible for the capability to inventory and score strategic initiatives, the production of views to help with prioritization, and the on-going reporting of the portfolio emphasizing value and initiative health.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
DriveEnterprise planning activities for strategic initiatives
Partnerwith Finance and other functional partners to qualify and drive towardexecution of benefits
Ensurethe strategic alignment of projects, while providing visible reporting onproject status, portfolio tracking, financial implication and overallperformance
Buildand implement standard Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) processes andfunctions for the Enterprise
Communicaterealized benefits and enhanced employee engagement to ensure transparency
5 years’experience with Project/Program Management or leading enterprise governanceprocesses including large-scale transformational project management
3 years’experience with Program Management Office building and/or delivering PPMstandards and processes
Experienceinterfacing with senior level leaders
Experiencewith planning strategy and tactics
Experiencewith large-scale organizational change efforts driving the adoption andsustainment of change
Solidunderstanding of how people go through a change and the change process
Servedas a Change Manager for a process project that substantially changed anexisting process or created a new process
Servedas a Change Manager for a project costing more than $15-$20M in technology spend
Previousexperience in Financial Services industry
