TIAA Product Manager, Consumer Deposits in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

As a part of TIAA’s Financial Solutions business, TIAA Bank, a division of TIAA, FSB, provides full-service, nationwide banking and lending services to consumer, commercial and institutional clients through a variety of channels, including online, its Florida-based financial centers and at other business offices throughout the country.

Position Summary

The right individual will work with internal and external business partners on the implementation, management, and optimization of consumer deposit products, pricing, and growth strategies. This leader will be responsible for building and managing the consumer deposit products and services. Accountabilities will include conducting market research and competitor analyses, determining product pricing, driving metrics and end to end product performance tracking, developing short and long-term strategies/outlooks for assigned product(s), designing and tailoring products and product offers to meet customers' needs.

This position can be placed in either Charlotte, NC or Jacksonville, FL.

Essential Functions

•Develop business justifications, product marketing strategy, pricing strategy, financial and transaction-based forecasts for new concepts in order to assess their viability in the marketplace.

•Create, validate and prioritize product and business requirements based on market analysis, business strategy and customer needs.

•Ownership / responsibility for sales and revenue target achievement of solutions in area of responsibility.

•Conduct marketing research and competitive analysis.

•Manage 3rd party competitive relationships.

•Develop go to market activities including sales readiness, value statement creation, sales tools, press releases, webinars, etc.

•Gather, track, prioritize and communicate enhancements throughout internal and external channels.

•Define product offering roadmaps and coordinate with appropriate product management, development and support teams to effectively launch new offerings.

•Support demand generation and qualification through efforts with marketing and sales.

•Product oversight to ensure that the offerings remain current and robust.

•Lead the product lifecycle activities around declining and sunset phases in the product offerings.

•Support strategic and operational planning as the key product management representative in enterprise money movement initiatives.

•Work in a highly matrix organization and will be interacting and working with Senior Leadership across the Bank and Enterprise.

•Responsible to deliver the adoption and usage of consumer deposit products.

•Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines

•Ability to develop strong relationships with business and IT leadership and with other key support areas

•Strong problem skills and exceptional analytical skills are needed

•Requires expert knowledge of consumer checking and savings products and services

•Deep and broad business and financial acumen

Qualifications

•BA/BS degree required

•Master’s degree preferred

•A minimum of 7 - 10 years working with consumer deposit products

•7+ years of deposit product, operational processing, or other transferable experience

•Knowledge of financial services and technology industry products and practices

•Demonstrated track record in defining, implementing, and managing consumer deposit products and processes

•Banking startup and regulatory experience desired preferred

•Willingness to travel - approximately 15% preferred
