TIAA is actively seeking a Lead Business Analyst within the Global Corporate Solution Technology (GCST) area to provide strategic business analysis services. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of customer’s business strategy, processes, services, and roadmaps in the context of Microsoft based SharePoint Development. This role will be key to understanding the documented capabilities needed to address business challenges and translating those requirements into key deliverables for offshore development and onshore delivery
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Serve as a liaison between Operations and IT to assistor gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancementand implementations
Elicit high / epic level and detailed requirements andtranslate into Jira user stories; methods of collection can include but are notlimited to user interviews, surveys, analyzing documentation/ business processworkflows and/or existing system documentation
Collaborate closely with developers to implementrequirements
Drive and challenge business areas on assumptions;question and understand how they will successfully execute their plans relatedto the functionality requested
Provide necessary guidance to testers during QAprocesses
Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in SharePoint andapply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans byproviding advice and guidance to other in the application of information andbest practices
Serve as a Scrum Master for business and teaminitiatives coordinating between development team, test teams and productowners, and subsequently proactively managing scope.
Work with business stakeholders to define, document andprioritize user stories in product backlog.
Work with senior technical team members to ensure bestdevelopment principles are applied and focused on future/Cloud developmentstrategies.
Create and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes,meeting schedules, project summaries and updates
Develop, automate, and execute test plans
Lead and support system conversions, upgrades, andenhancements
Minimum of 5 years of experience working on gatheringand documenting requirements and executing projects in accordance to the SoftwareDevelopment Life Cycle.
Experience working in the role of Scrum Master.
Background with SharePoint development or similardevelopment environments.
Agile BA / Scrum Master Certification is stronglypreferred
Experience working in the financial industry
Experience working on large scale projects aswell as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business
Ability to navigate BA Workflow, Agile Scrum, andProject Management tools (Jira, MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, SharePoint, andBusiness Process/Rules repositories)
Hands on experience developing and executing test plans
Proficiency with SharePoint, SQL, and Microsoft Suiteof development tools
