Taxable Fixed Income Sr Trader – IG Corporates/US$ Preferreds Â

Our Investment Grade team is looking for an experienced and driven candidate, whose focus will be supporting our dedicated preferred strategies and multisector funds. Our team operates as a centralized trading model, with this role encompassing execution of all trading in US$ Prefs, At1/Coco and other Hybrid Securities across mandates and geographies. In addition, the role requires coordination of primary market marketing, deal flow/execution and other ad-hoc tasks.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that can help drive alpha for portfolios, while developing relationships and enhancing the profile of our franchise. Sound judgement and attention to detail/protocols are pre-requisites. A keen interest to explore new technologies and bring new ideas to the table for process improvement and enhancing our workflows are also desirable characteristics.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Trade execution within assigned products, ensuring best execution and controlling trading costs.

  • Monitor and highlight key market activity, post commentary and present in meetings.

  • Work closely with members of the investment team (Trading/Research/PMs) to develop trade ideas and portfolio strategies.

  • Coordination of new issue process, acting as point person to distribute marketing, deal color and consolidation / management of IOIs.

  • Develop, manage and maintain relationships with syndicate desks, sellside traders/salespeople and internal stakeholders.

  • Contribute to team meetings, champion partnership and collaboration across our platform.

  • Ensure all trading processes and documents comply with standard policies an requirements.

  • Ensure resolution of any downstream trade issues working closely with Operations counterparts.

Qualifications

  • 3 Years Required; 5 Years Preferred

  • University (Degree), Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience trading preferred securities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant fixed income trading experience

  • CFA/MBA

  • Competence in Bloomberg, Charles River and Electronic Trading platforms

  • Advanced excel knowledge / VBA coding

Potential Salary: $151,600.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
