TIAA is seeking a Sr.Windows and VMware Administrator to join their global team. This position can be located in their Charlotte, NC or Broomfield, CO office. This team is responsible for the stability of all MS Windows and VMware INF servers/hosts, cloud server platforms, and server virtualization infrastructure. This team supports MS Windows and VMware server infrastructure environments equipping TIAA to support clients around the world.
This role is responsible for administering, monitoring and supporting server hardware platforms, operating systems, and their related products and technologies. This position is also responsible for day-to-day infrastructure repair, and maintenance of server hardware/software.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Builds, deploys, maintains andassist with repairs of Windows and VMware servers/hosts on racks, blades, andhyper converged infrastructures
Provide operational support/system administration of serverhardware/OS that includes hardware repair with vendors, storage migrations,refresh of server OS/hardware, updating firmware/drivers, server decommissions,patching, implementing/supporting complex/high availability systems, assistwith disaster recovery, software deployments
Troubleshoots and resolves server/hostsinfrastructure related issues
Develops and maintains documentationon server infrastructure, software systems components, and disaster recoverymethodology
Ensures company backups are runningon a regular basis and restores files as needed
Participates in special projects andperforms other duties as required
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in asenior level role supporting medium to large windows and VMware serverinfrastructure systems
Minimum of 7 years hands-onexperience performing administration of MS Windows/VMware Servers and relatedsoftware, security, patching, monitoring and other management/administrationtasks
Minimum of 5 years VMwareadministration experience in a large enterprise
Minimum of 7 years hands-onexperience with Microsoft Active Directory and clustering technologies
Minimum of 2 years’ experience with ascripting language such as PowerShell,Perl, Python, Bash etc. for automating server-related tasks
Minimum of 5 years hands-onexperience working with SAN/NAS storage systems
Minimum of 5 years’ experience usingMicrosoft tools (i.e. SCCM, SCOM, Big Fix, etc.)
Minimum of 2 years hands-onexperience supporting Zerto virtual replication software & Double-Take
Microsoft Certifications (i.e. MCSE,MCSA, MCP)
VMware VCP certification, or higher
Advanced experience/certificationwith Active Directory, Office 365, SQL, Windows Server
Ability to work in a fast paceenvironment and work well under pressure
Experience with cloud configuration
Ability to communicate effectivelyin writing and verbally
Advancedunderstanding of information security and best practices
