POSITION SUMMARY:

TIAA has an opportunity for anexperienced Sr. Network Engineer forour Broomfield, CO Datacenter . Thisrole will be a part of the Data Center& Core Network Architecture team. This position will focus on thedelivery of high-availability network infrastructures to sustain the online andon-site information technology activities of users. We are in the midst ofdeploying and migrating Cisco ApplicationCentric Infrastructure (ACI), and working on plans for globalization. Thisrole will collaborate with various engineering teams on the modernization ofour connectivity models.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Demonstratedunderstanding of the Cisco network infrastructure and best practices

  • Design and implement network configurations, troubleshootperformance issues, carry out network monitoring and configure security systemssuch as firewalls

  • Act as the Subject Matter expert for Data Center technologiesparticularly in Routing and Switching Platforms

  • Perform migration of workloads from Nexus Platforms to Cisco ACIfabrics

  • Create Ansible playbooks and other automation for builds andmigrations

  • Ability totranslate business requirements into creditable, high quality and resilientdesigns based upon the organization’s roadmaps and standards

  • Lead overall technical implementation for large and complex DataCenter engagements

  • Deliver technical briefings, Architectural Design sessions andProofs-of-Concepts to all levels of stakeholders

  • Identify the causes of networking problems, using diagnostictesting software and equipment

  • Document network support activities

  • Research and evaluate infrastructure strategies,hardware/software, security and networking products

  • Ability tocommunicate to all levels of internal& external stakeholders

  • Advise management of options, risk vs. cost, benefits and otherimpacts of infrastructure solutions

  • Set technical standards for network infrastructure, securitybaselines, policies and procedures

  • Ability tocollaborate with other team members

  • Work with outsource vendor to drive sound architectures,engineering designs, and configuration templates

  • Engage in complex production impacting technical issues and workto troubleshoot and restore service

  • Ability to work on-call, including weekends

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years’experience performing work as a Network Engineer in a global enterprise

  • Experiencewith migration of critical network infrastructure

  • Experiencewith design, implementation and support of Infrastructure Automation orSoftware Defined Networking

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’sdegree

  • Certificationssuch as CCIE or CCDE

  • Foundationalknowledge of Cisco ACI policy model and associated concepts

  • Experiencewith the deployment & migration of Cisco Application CentricInfrastructure (ACI)

  • Experiencewith using languages and tools such as Python, Perl, JSON, YAML, Ansible, Gitlab, REST API
