TIAA IT Technical Continuity Analyst in Broomfield, Colorado

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

TIAA has an opportunity for an IT Technical Continuity Analyst to join their Iselin, NJ, Charlotte, NC or Broomfield, CO office. This role will has responsibility for preparing our organization for the event of blackouts or disasters in which information or systems could be lost. In addition, they will analyze potential risks and losses and design, test and implement technical infrastructure recovery plans and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop disaster recovery strategies so the organization can resume normal operations as soon as possible following a crisis

  • Prepare for the event of blackouts or disasters which impact our datacenters and require failover to an alternate site (i.e. cyber, terrorism, natural events, etc.)

  • Document incidents that impact data centers; maintain Disaster Recovery procedural and master technical plan

  • Perform periodical maintenance tests to ensure that system recovery works properly

  • Analyze potential risks and losses and design, test and implement recovery plans

  • Analyze the impact of a disaster

  • Ensure the company’s files are backed up should data be lost

  • Creates possible solutions by implementing and testing various recovery plans

  • Communicate to stakeholders to prepare them for disruptive events

  • Ensure the business can failover a disaster; in addition to recovering within business requirement before and after

  • Enhance current technical processes and evaluates IT and business processes to ensure the best strategies are being used

  • Train other stakeholders on the technical recovery plan to ensure that everyone knows how to react if a disaster occurs

  • Issue metrics reports and analyses design / create process performance executive summaries and dashboards.

  • Assist in the identification, development, testing and implementation of new or existing technology solutions to improve technical continuity process performance.

Required:

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience working in an Information Technology role

  • Additional three (3) years of experience in performing work in technical continuity or the technical aspects of a business continuity role

  • Experience with Disaster Recovery automation and utilization of enterprise recovery tools

  • Experience with IT Security and Risk management

  • Experience working as a Technical Continuity Analyst (or in the technical aspects of a Business Continuity role)

  • Experience preparing organizations for the events of blackouts or disasters in which company systems and information need to be recovered at an alternate site.

  • Experience with the analyses of risks and losses and design, test and implementation of recovery plans

  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure Platforms

  • Possess interpersonal skills and ability to articulate to all levels of stakeholders

Preferred:

  • One (1) year experience in storage, network, and/or server operations role

  • Possess a Certified Business Continuity Professional or Master Business Continuity Professional certification

Minimum Pay: $80,600.00
